LET'S TELL A GREAT STORY!

#BURNBERRY

As one of the world’s largest online thrift stores, we make it our mission to extend the life of each and every wearable garment. When the news of Burberry burning unsold product broke, we posted a letter in response. It went viral with over 3.6M total organic impressions, including press coverage.

WRITING FOR VIRALITY

The letter came together in under 24 hours and was shared on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and our own blog.

Burberry may not have taken us up on our offer, but we like to think we moved the needle. A few months after our viral post, Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti announced that the company will no longer burn unsold items stating that “Modern luxury means being socially and environmentally responsible."

Burberry would then go on to collaborate with secondhand luxury platforms The Real Real and Vestaire Collective in 2019. A big step toward making thrift mainstream.
